Getting things done is a fine art that is often misunderstood. Many people spend time getting good at knowing why things should be done, or could be done, but few become artists at doing them. Yet these 'artists' are the ones who we learn about through history and the media, and are the ones who inspire us quietly in our daily lives. The Global Significance of Art
As an artist, I believe that art lives. There is the spirit of the artist in each original piece of art. Of this I am sure. Does the spirit move also into each reproduction? This I am not so sure of. What I do know is that a piece of art can stop one cold in his or her tracks or a group of people cold in their tracks. You can see this yourself whenever you go to a major museum where they have the masters in their collections. And, of course, contemporary artists can also stop people in their tracks. Art is powerful. I love being an artist. I love that what Kant said about come comparing artists to God. Of course, it all comes from God. Where art is concerned, globally, it is a small world indeed.
