| The past year has seen some extraordinary events unfold. Each of us endured, with varying degrees of intensity, the worst recession since the nation's Great Depression. If you are in a position professionally or financially whereby you sensed little or no effect, then you are blessed. I have spoken with no one who has denied the impact of the global economic storm. In fact, most friends and colleagues of mine have spoken frankly of the impact on their personal lives and their families. For me, the last year was nothing short of a wake-up call blasted from a locomotive air horn.
