The Pros, Cons of Working, Playing in the Clouds
| |
| Don't you just love all the fun, the advantages, the freedom, the freakin mystery of the cloud? Look up -- they're light, they're fluffy, they're everywhere. Heck they're even green, ecofriendly...right?
But ever so often something is dark on the horizon and the sucka comes roaring in and does some serious damage. Or it can sneak up quietly and SPLAT! slap you where it hurts...really hurts.
Cloud computing is like the last wild frontier (sure we'll have more but cloud computing/storage is one biggie) where anything, anyone can go...and it does/they do. It isn't for the faint of heart and it isn't for the dumb ones but it sure attracts them like flies. |

Tornados, Floods, Leukemia, Strange Lights, Cancer, and the Pot of Gold
| |
| So what does all of this mean?
These events started about 2 weeks ago and it has been one strange, difficult, and wonderful encounter after another.
First off, we had strong storm cells move through my area in Franklin,... |

The Joplin Perspective
| |
| Joplin, Missouri is a relatively small city situated in southwest Missouri. I have been through Joplin many times in my life as it is located halfway between where I've lived the majority of my life and where my grandparents lived; therefore, Joplin, Missouri always seemed like more of a rest stop to me. It was a place to stretch your legs, buy gasoline, and get a quick bite to eat.

Ready to Grow Again?
| |
| As I have predicted in a number of my previous articles, prosperity is right around the corner, and for some of you it may already be here. I have been preaching that business needed to prepare themselves for the rebound and if you haven’t it isn’t too late. The bad news came with a big sucking sound. Like the aftermath of a devastating tornado many of you have poked your head out from the rubble only to find yourself alive and somewhat well. |

Spiritual Fitness for Entrepreneurs
| |
| Let's face it. Life as an entrepreneur can be a challenge. Sometimes it feels like we're jugglers trying to juggle in a tornado! The over-stimulation of the daily whirlwind of activities especially during a recession creates high levels of stress and anxiety. We run ourselves ragged and pay a huge physical and emotional toll with stress related illnesses. But how many of us are aware of the price we pay spiritually? |

Fail Proof Way To Suceed And Not Fizzle Out
| |
| Will you get the desired results you want from your project or goal or will it fizzle out and die in an exhausted heap?
I recently started making cold calls again. Naturally, I was excited and I started out like a tornado as most of us do when starting a new project. I made 77 plus dials my first day and vowed to make 100 dials the next day and 150 the day after that.Wil |

It's Re-Election Time! Get The Picture?
| |
| So while everyone was thinking about the brave troops who finally capped Osama Bin Laden the other day, I was also thinking about whether or not they had a 71-Quebec out there with them on that mission (that's Army Talk for "journalist," or at least it used to be). I guess they must have, because this week's big news is President Obama's decision not to release the photos that were taken of Dead Terrorist Number One. So since the global paparrazzi corps was busy sobering up in London after Will-'n'-Kate, and since civilian "journalists" only take pictures of car chases and tornado damage (when they can squeeze those things in around their grip-and-grin work at the White House), any photos that existed had to have been taken by some hard-working military journalist.... |

How Disasters Can Teach Lessons of Gratitude
| |
| In the world today, we encounter a lot of negativity, pain, stress and natural disasters. Many days, we wake up with far too much to do, far too much to think about, far too many concerns, and far too many problems.
In Virginia where I live, in the span of less than one week, we experienced a "terrible triad:" an earthquake, a tornado and Hurricane Irene; three major natural disasters capable of causing devastation, tragedies, and causalities.
So many of us went through life's inconveniences facing another triad of problems: no lights, no air-conditioning, no television.
Having witnessed three natural disasters in one week has made me readily come to believe that it is a good idea to start each day with inspiration and gratitude to help us make it through the day with positive thoughts. This helps to remain focused on your goals. |

Why Charismatic Women Can Rule The World
| |
| Having landed the title of The UK’s Leading Expert in Charisma, back in 2010, people often expect me to be this big, ‘larger than life’ personality who can move and schmooze like a tornado. In reality, I am quietly confident, intuitive and simply have a passion for people.
Margaret Thatcher and Princess Diana were completely different characters yet both women possessed huge charisma. They have both left their mark in history. These contrasting women serve to illustrate why defining charisma is so difficult. And if it is so difficult to define it, how can you begin to replicate it in yourself or others?
