Moody Brews - Small Town Woman in Business Success.
| |
| This summer I drove through Doris, California and stopped to visit with Julie Barkman, owner of 'Moody Brews' Coffee Drive Thru.
For ten years Julie worked in adult education, commuting 25 miles to Klamath Falls, Oregon.
In 2007, Julie and her husband decided to start a business to stop her commute, providing her the freedom to be there for her family and giving them a way to give back to their community.
Julie named her coffee shop 'Moody Brews' because she is a big fan of the Moody Blues Music. Mr. Barkman, her husband, built the drive thru from scratch.

| Your website's privacy information and security settings can be significant hurdles when it comes to gaining trust with your visitors. Establishing trust is paramount to enticing visitors to make that final commitment, whether that be making a purchase, choosing to provide their info, or simply making initial contact with you.
Your job is to make sure your visitors feel confident that their information is kept safe and will not be used for nefarious means, or anything other than what they fully expect. While providing assurances are nice, those assurances only go so far as what actually happens. Be sure that your small print reinforces what your visitors already expect to find in regards to how their information is used.

The Search for Normality
| |
| Recently, I heard about a group of advertising agencies that constantly seek what they call a "normal" city or town. Apparently, what they are looking for is the demographically perfect example of the United States. They spend a great deal of time searching for this elusive pocket of normality. Even when they find a city or town that they deem to be normal, within a year or two they have to move on, because the existing site is-for whatever reason-no longer "normal."

Why You Should Add Images To Your Blog Posts
| |
| When visitors come to your website, you have a choice. You can make it inviting and pleasant, or you can make it just about as appealing as the innards of the phone book. The only difference? Images. Color. Action.
Images – photos, illustrations, or other graphics - are often the first thing visitors look at. If the image is compelling, visitors stay to check out the text. If the image is poor quality or unappealing – or non-existent! – visitors leave. It’s really that simple.

Great Leadership Requires Inspiration

Get out of town and take a hike in nature. As you walk around, think about all the wonderful things about your state or nation, and why you're blessed to live there. Walk around your home, inside and out, and think about all the reasons your own home is such a blessing, too.... |
