Is This The Best Work-Life Balance Book Ever Written?
Last week while corresponding with one of my fellow bloggers, Jacob Share, he mentioned the book ‘The 4-Hour Work Week’ by Tim Ferriss was now available in the UK. ‘Thanks’ I replied, knowing I was travelling that day and I would be able to grab a copy.

Customer Service in Japan
When travelling to Japan it is hard not to notice the politeness of the people, especially in the shops, malls, restaurants and other businesses. It is well worth a look at how and why they seem to have or at least present perfect customer service. We could learn a lot from them!

Sales People spending less than 10% of their time SELLING
I got talking to a senior salesperson recently and was gob smacked when he told me about the amount of admin work that he is expected to produce on top of his sales target. He was literally spending half his working week doing paperwork. It got me to thinking that when you consider other unavoidable tasks such as travelling to and from sales meetings , the amount of time that he could possibly be spending in front of prospective clients actually selling must be tiny.

In Marketing - one size does not fit all
One of the great things about travelling overseas is that it makes you look at things from a new perspective. I have just returned from a trip to Japan and was fascinated by the number of international brands operating there and how they prosper in what are very different trading conditions from their home countries and Australia.

Managing time while commuting
According to some interesting statistics that I was reading recently, the average worker spends at least an hour a day travelling to and from work, with some people spending more than 8 hours a week commuting. That’s an entire work day every week! Believe it or not, commuting on public transport or travelling to and from work can actually be one of the most productive times of your day.

Moving Expenses
You may deduct moving expenses from your income if you move your residence in order to earn salary, wages, or self-employment income in Canada. Your move must result in your new residence being at least 40 kilometres closer to your new place of work or business. This distance is calculated based on the shortest normal route open to the travelling public.

If You Do Not Conquer Self, You Will Be Conquered By Self
Travelling within and winning over yourself is the greatest victory. Discipline always shorts the distance between you and your accomplishment. Leaders always have to walk on discipline. What we are that discipline helps us to tap it and to put across the globe our potentiality. We cannot reach up to the fullest potential level without discipline.

Sir Charles Wheatstone & Traveling Sound
Sir Charles Wheatstone's place in the development of the telephone cannot be overlookes. Wheastone, a prolofic inventor, worked to develop the concertina, stereoscopy, and popularized accurate measurements of DC resistance which led to advancements in sound travelling electronically over long distances.

Success is your Baby
There were two warring tribes in the Andes, one that lived in the lowlands and the other high in the mountains. The mountain people invaded the lowlanders one day, and as part of their plundering of the people, they kidnapped a baby and took the infant with them back up into the mountains. Although the lowlanders didn't know how to climb the mountain, they sent out their best party of fighting men to bring the baby home. They first tried one method of climbing and then another. They tried one trail and then another. After climbing only a few hundred feet after several days of effort, the lowlander men decided that the cause was lost, and they prepared to return to their village below.

How To Earn More Money To Retire Early
When you think of your retirement what do visualise? Travelling the world visiting exotic countries, spending time chilling out playing golf or merely having more quality time to spend with your family. Many of us dream of being able to do the things that we don’t have time to do when we are working but sadly the reality, for many, will be very different. The real prospects will be having to work longer (which will involve covering for less productive colleagues for even longer) and having less pension than would have originally been predicted. Is there a better alternative?
