Lesson #2: The Proof is in the Product that Works
In 1910, Harley-Davidson motorcycles captured at least seven different first place finishes in races and endurance contests across America. The four boyhood friends who founded the company began racing their motorbikes because they loved it. But soon after they began sweeping races across the country, Harley and the Davidson brothers realized that they were now racing for something even more valuable than a trophy or prize money: they were racing for sales.

Where can I buy a Starbucks Franchise ? (hint, you can’t)
Judging by the volume of queries made in search engines and forums, many people aspire to the status of Starbucks franchisee. If you´re one of them, you´re out of luck. Almost every Starbucks outlet is a wholly company-owned and operated venture. (Exceptions are institutions at places like airports that operate through a license agreement.). Fortunately, this doesn´t mean you have to give up your dreams of owning a coffee shop franchise. A host of attractive alternatives exist in the lucrative coffee shop franchise market, many of which are giving Starbucks a run for its money

Lesson #1: Create a Brand that Can Be Loved, Honoured, and Obeyed
When Wang first opened up shop on Madison Avenue in New York, she was not just selling wedding dresses; what Wang was selling was service. Her goal was to help the women “that are running around looking for special dresses, looking to have everything taken care of because they have busy lives.” To that end, Wang’s shop also helped brides with their jewelry, shoes, hairdos, and more. “I’m creating an image, a brand and a name,” she says.

How is blogging good for a business?
There’s a shop, which has opened recently, very near to where I live. I pass it every day during my walks and not once have I seen a customer in there. Not once! The shop in question is a clothes hire shop. You can hire ball-gowns, dinner suits, kilts, wedding dresses…that sort of thing. I think they are in the wrong location but they need to start marketing and I think blogging would be a great way to start. They have a website. The domain name is underneath the shop front logo.

Make it easy for your customers to buy!
If you want your customers to spend with you why not make it easy? This may seem obvious to you, but it is not always obvious to most business owners and I would like to get you thinking a bit here. Let me explain by example... I have just got back from a break myself and the guy that owned the apartments also owned the small supermarket down the road. The apartments were self catering so it would be good for the owner if the people staying there were to cook food and purchased from his shop. When we arrived he took time to mention his shop so that we would visit, which we duly did and I am sure you are waiting for the but here...and there is and not just one the way I see it.
