Lesson #2: Love Your Work
“The most important thing in life is to love what you’re dong,” says Trump, “because that’s the only way you’ll ever be really good at it.”

Lesson #4: Play On Perception
“If you want to sell a car and you spend five dollars to wash and polish it and then apply a little extra elbow grease, suddenly you find you can charge an extra four hundred dollars,” says Trump, “and get it.”

Lesson #5: Go With Your Gut
“Experience taught me a few things,” says Trump. “One is to listen to your gut, no matter how good something sounds on paper.”

Get Right to the Point
I once hired a very qualified young man. I expected him to be great. But boy, was I ever wrong. This guy took so long to explain everything that I began to dread talking with him. He was just too slow. Yes, he was thorough and painstaking, but he couldn't keep pace. He wasted too much time.

Entrepreneur Things
Entrepreneurs ( I need to share this with you) do the most ridiculous things. (I’m not going to name any of those things here because I don’t want to hurt the feelings of the dumb entrepreneurs who thought them up) But, I’m sure you know what I mean. I’m sure you’ve asked yourself the question from time to time, “What in the world was he thinking?” Well, that’s the subject of this morning’s blog. (It’s morning where I am, and I woke up with the thought that I needed to get this out of my system, off my chest, out of my mind, so here goes.)

Father's Day Advice from My Father
Sunday is Father’s Day which, of course, always makes me think of my dad, Fred C. Trump.

Times Are Good
You’re probably wondering what I’m talking about when you see that headline. But I’m talking about what’s happening today, now, in the U.S. I say that times are good because there are still plenty of opportunities out there. In fact I’m a little tired of the negative cloud we seem to be under these days.

The Trump Entrepreneur Initiative Blog
For the first blog for The Trump Entrepreneur Initiative, I'd like to start with some basics that will help anyone who wants to be an entrepreneur. My father, Fred C. Trump, who was a real estate developer, gave me some great advice, great because the advice was not only solid, but it worked. In fact, it still works.

Wherever You Go, Networking Makes You Grow
There's a reason referral networking has become a marketing strategy worldwide: It works.

Success In Home Based Businesses Defies Logic
Starting home based businesses is like trying to get a jet into the sky. You spend massive amounts of resources (money) to taxi down the runway, and when you’re about to run out of asphalt, the jet amazingly lifts up towards the sky.

You Are Fired! By Alfred Ade-Ijimakinwa
Are you a thinker? Having a best-selling idea is not enough. Like Einstein, you must be able to sit under a tree thinking why an apple falls downward instead of upward. Nobody is going to think for you because you are your own boss and would be responsible for the innovation and the day to day running of your new found business. So be a thinker.

Recession Rescue -- Lessons Learned from Dan Kennedy
Don't panic. Yes we're in a recession. Yes the government is doing crazy things. Yes we have pirates and pig flu and everything else. But you shouldn't be panicking because it's very possible for us to not just survive but thrive.

Does Business Growth Trump Social Responsibility?
As leaders, do we have a social responsibiity on how we promote our products? Or is it every man, woman and teenager for himself?

Building a Leadership Team - Part 1
Talent is necessary for building a winning leadership team, but talent is not sufficient. You can recruit the very best in every functional area of responsibility in your organization, but unless they work well together, you will fail to create sustainable value. And in a competitive environment, you will lose to teams with far less talent if they work well together but you don’t. There is a tongue in cheek axiom that comes as a corollary to this – “I’d rather be lucky than good.” If you believe in blind luck, go with God and stop reading. If you believe we make our own luck, I’d like to share three principles for creating a great leadership team and some practical insights into each: agreement on the mission, clear communication, and balance. Pat1 = Agreement on the mission.

Raising the Stakes: Trump Takes On Manhattan
“I don’t believe you can ever be hurt by buying a good location at a low price,” says Trump. Even as the city seemed to be crumbling around him, Trump dreamed of the amazing potential for properties throughout New York.

Lesson #1: Be Fierce
“Always look out for yourself,” says Trump. Never one to back down from a challenge, Trump has made a career out of being ruthless when it came to his business. Trump realized early on that he would only reach the heights of success of which he dreamed if he was willing to tackle whatever or whoever stood in his way. He took no prisoners when it came time to make a deal and did whatever it took to get the job done.

Donald Trump Bankruptcy
When you hear the name Donald Trump, chances are that the first thing to pop into your head is not bankruptcy. Today, the Trump brand has come to symbolize all that is lavish and extravagant. From his marble-lined hotels to his billion-dollar golf courses, little about Donald Trump would suggest bankruptcy. However, in his early years, Donald Trump was no different from every other entrepreneur who struggles to grow their business. In fact, he came so close to the brink of bankruptcy on more than one occasion that his success today is all the more remarkable.

Donald Trump Book
Tolstoy, Tennyson…Trump? Well, he may not be a prize-winning author, but sure enough Donald Trump is no stranger to the art of the book. Critics call them self-promotional and self-aggrandizing, but when have critics ever stood in the way of Donald Trump? Getting Started In Real Estate Investing

Contact Donald Trump
Getting a hold of Mr. Trump isn’t as hard as one might think if you have a reason to do so. While he is not exactly Mr. Accessible, even someone of his stature realizes that there is some value in people being able to get into contact with him. You don’t have to be a multi-billionaire to get in touch with Mr. Trump (thought it wouldn’t hurt) but you do have to have a purpose. Donald Trump is more than a huge real estate developer, he is also a celebrity. When put into this light you must realize that celebrities are, but nature, hard to get one on one time with. There are layer upon layers of people who screen on such a strict basis that it can be a daunting task to get your message to your celebrity of choice.

It’s Not Personal – It’s Just Business!
When you hear that statement, whose name comes to mind? It’s a famous “Donald-Trump-ism” and I use it a lot! I was listening, with great interest, last week (while at the incredible Trump International Beach Resort in Miami) to the words and descriptions that people were using when speaking about Donald Trump.
