Of course it is something we all need to do and when progressing up the corporate ladder it is an essential skill to get right. Research on verbal v non-verbal communication is interesting. It suggests that the receiver trusts the non-verbal aspects of the speaker more than the actual words. So hold back on the overuse of PowerPoint slides and make sure you consider the ‘how’ as much as the ‘what’.
