Managing Multiple Customers

| You know the scenario… your workday is running smoothly and manageably when suddenly you find yourself dealing with one customer in front of you, another on the phone, while a third arrives with just a quick question. Yes, I Mind Waiting - 10 ways to reduce lineup stress for staff and customers
| |
| Most managers' idea of dealing with a sudden lineup of customers is to simply have the staff work harder and faster. The problem is that employees soon get tired and begin making errors -- which takes more time to fix later-on. Your Sales Letter Layout and Using Testimonials
| |
| The worst websites are those that use a percentage width and cover the entire monitor. It's been proven that long lines of text fatigue the reader. People will start scanning if the lines are too long. Use a fixed-width table, 600 to 700 pixels wide. That mimics the width that people are used to from paper. The reader stays engaged and doesn't become fatigued. Use paragraphs no longer than four or five lines. |

Practicing Assertiveness
| |
| Very early Sunday morning I was waiting in line at Montreal’s airport. Despite the early hour, the airport was crowded and the lines at each of the security points were the longest I had ever seen them. People were patiently waiting; however there was an older gentleman who became quite distressed as he realized he would miss his flight due to the slow movement of the line. He attracted the attention of one of the officials, however they merely shrugged unhelpfully. Then two European men in their mid 30’s went to the aid of the older man, they asked all the people in the queue ahead of him would they mind if he jumped ahead of them to catch his flight. Of course no one minded and the man went quickly through security. |

What Independent Sales Reps Should Expect From Their Principals
| |
| For any independent sales rep who is dealing with principals, there are things that are not only reasonable to expect from your principal, but should always be provided. For example, principals should always provide training for the lines that you carry, as well as the means to stay in contact with them, and the materials that you will need to market their lines.

Politics and Storage

| One of the disadvantages of travel, particularly air travel today is time spent waiting, however, instead of worrying about lost time waiting, time waiting can also be time to think, ponder, watch CNN, FOX, CNBC, BBC, Sky, or what ever your preference, think and ponder some more.
