You must determine if you are the kind of person you want to be. Can you attract the kind of person you want to be with? We usually have a great deal in common with those we are closest to. Think about the people you feel close to. You probably have similar beliefs, laugh at the same jokes, and share interests in movies, sports, styles, food, and hobbies. The more you have in common with a person, the more enjoyable the relationship will be and the faster it will grow and thrive. |

| In order to experience love from others we need to experience and express love for ourselves first. Part of how we can express love for ourselves, is to share our love with others. You can deepen your self-love through healthy outward expressions of love for others. These questions will help you start thinking about how you want love to show up and be expressed in your life. |

If you love what you do, you see your work as a gift and something to which you look forward every day. As we approach the end of 2009, spend some time thinking about what you truly love doing. | How can you truly love another if you have not learned to love yourself? How can you trust others if you cannot trust yourself? How can you value the things around you if you place no value in yourself? How can you forgive someone you love if you have not yet forgiven yourself? These are deep but profound questions that hold an important but simple truth. It is true that we can't give what we don't have and it is when we learn to give to ourselves first that we can ultimately give our best to the people we love most. |

THINGS YOU MIGHT FIND DIFFICULT

| “Love means never having to say you’re sorry!” You may or may not be old enough to remember that line from the movie; “LOVE STORY,” which believe it or not came out all the way back in 1970. I suppose the rationale for what was meant here was that love is unconditional and therefore does not require apologies.
Combining love with apologizing seemed like a good lead into what I wanted to write about this month. Life presents us with all kinds of challenges and at times there are a number of things all of us find difficult. Two of those in particular that many find difficult are; saying we’re sorry and telling someone we love them! |
