Lesson #4: Test Your Product and Test Your Pitch
| |

Google Gadgets, Yahoo Widgets & Myspace Widgets: Social Media Marketing On Demand
| |
| Remember the film “Field Of Dreams” and the tagline “If you build it, they will come?” Well, the same goes true for a Google Gadget, MySpace Widget or Yahoo Widget. Social Media Marketing and Viral Marketing are the crux of the online industry. Client relationships start with honesty

Up Sell you way to a Better Turnover
| |
| Up selling - selling a more expensive but better item than the customer first wanted.
Simply show the customer a widget that's better, bigger, or faster than the one they was considering -- but with some special consideration such as a substantial discount, more favorable payment terms, extra options, or accessories.

How You Can Get Your Blog Featured in CNN, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Other Major Media Outlets
| |
| About six months ago I was looking at the web stats of one of our clients. His visits went from an average of 30 a day to 150. When I checked who was sending him so much traffic I was very surprised. It was CNN! I went to CNN’s website and I discovered that they have a widget at the end of some of their articles where they show related blog posts. My client’s post was there.
I started doing some research on the subject and I learned how you can get your blog featured on CNN, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Newsweek, Time, Fox News, Reuters, the Washington Post, and CBS. |

| |
| You hire someone. They don't work out. They leave. What is it that you remember and say about them in the past tense? Do you want score!
| |
| So how do we find our target market? First we must ask ourselves, what product or service do we have and what problem does it solve? You may have the best widget in the country but if nobody needs it, you will have boxes and boxes of the best widgets in the country, and no customers. Ask yourself, who needs my product and why do they need it? Both of these questions are the first two questions you need to answer.
