Your Future
| |
| Many years ago as a young, aspiring speaker, I heard an older speaker who was quite philosophical say that you are where you are because that's exactly where you want to be. I thought about his statement, decided it was the "wisdom of the ages" and verbalized it in my own presentations. Over a period of time, a series of events took place that convinced me that his statement was not true in my case. I was broke, in debt and down in the dumps. I wanted to be prosperous and excited about my future. It came through loud and clear that I was where I was and what I was because of the decisions and choices I had made in my life. |

Selling As Art, Not Science
| |
| I think we have lost something by making sales a science. There is an art to this profession and we would do well to remember that, especially those of us who are serious students of this profession. And before all of the old timers retire, take them out to lunch and pick their brains. They have the wisdom of the ages to share with you. |

Accident Insurance
| |
| Study after study has been released that, in the end, all reach the same conclusion: the younger you are, the more likely it is that you will die as a result of an accident over any other cause. Injuries have proven to be the number one cause of death for Canadians up to the age of 44, as well as the fourth leading cause of death for Canadians of all ages. The experts also claim that people between the ages of 25 and 55 are twice more likely to become disabled from an accident than die. That is where the importance of having personal accident insurance comes in. |

What should my sales team expect from a successful Sales Coach?
| |
| Successful sales coaching requires patience, a good ear, curiosity and of course the ability to provide individual sales people or sales teams with the right information at the right time. These relationships empower the recipients with knowledge and the confidence to maneuver themselves toward the right outcomes. Wisdom is knowledge applied. Therefore the sales coach prefers not to impart his wisdom directly, instead coaching the sales people or sales team to find their wisdom through their own questioning, answering and experiences. |

Life is a Mirror
| |
| Philosophers through the ages have taught us that individuals attract the same energy they put out to the universe. If you think negative thoughts, then negativity will come back to you. If your outlook is positive and upbeat, that is how the world will approach you.
I am not a philosopher myself, but I subscribe to the simple wisdom that energy begets energy. I see applications for the theory especially helpful in the working environment. I have been having some discussions with students recently and would be interested in your comments in this forum.
Some people are constantly feeling besieged with problems coming at them from other people, who they say have bad attitudes. My take is that if what you see coming at you is other people that are sour, it is really a good time to take a long hard look in the mirror.

WISDOM IS KNOWING IT,VIRTUES ARE DOING IT
| |
| I know what I have .I have to master my self. Knowing others is not wisdom. True power lies in knowing your self.
Wisdom has nothing to do with schooling. University intelligence is far away from true wisdom. History has given more than 500 leaders in last 2000 years who have hardly experience of formal schooling. The ever live gurus Socrates have hardly experience of formal schooling. Actual life is not learned between the boundaries of four walls of classroom. Real leader knows intelligence has nothing to do with wisdom.
One serious effort require in studying the detail of graduates and master of management of business schools. How they all are in the life in the contest of happiness, success, accomplishment. |

Over the years I have been harboring the wrong notion on wisdom. I was under the impression that knowledge is wisdom. And I am sure that there are millions of others who think the same way. What Makes Certain Art Popular?
| |
| You know the art that has remained popular throughout the ages. Why? You know the artists who have remained famous through the ages. Imagine, for example, The Mona Lisa. Most people are familiar with the painting, yet not so many can tell you that an artist named Leonardo painted it.
