How many people have you met who have an immense amount of knowledge, are like walking encyclopedias but aren’t very wise? And how many people are very simple and don’t have a wealth of knowledge or information but are very, very wise? How wise are you and those you hang out with?

A wise man once said, "The biggest difference between a copyright and a patent is the number of lawyers it takes to do the paperwork." There is a point to be made there, mainly that if this wise man had paid his attorney to copyright that tidbit of wisdom I probably would have had to pay him five bucks to use the quote.

Silo Busting
In the old days we had sales guys and we had marketing guys and we had purchasing guys. The sales and marketing guys hated the purchasing guys. They never bought enough stuff, right? The wagon was never full. A common quote coming from some sales people: . "Our purchasing department sucks; I know there is an extra 5% discount out there. Purchasing is forcing me to sell at these high prices; we are just not buying right." The purchasing guys, in the mean time were saying; "Our sales guys are goofy. They keep saying they can't sell from an empty wagon. They want the wagon so full the wheels will come off. They say-"Put this in and I will sell it" and they never sell it. These kinds of feelings, these quotes were like a tradition. It describes a natural silo between sales and purchasing. It's not really supposed to be funny.
Worry vs. Concern
I believe that concern is worry with action. Worry in and of itself does nothing other than diminish focus. Concern has the potential to release creative solutions to the obstacle that one is facing. I heard a story about an elderly monk who was training a number of younger monks learning to live their dedicated lives of service. One of his pupils came to him and told him that he was so weighted down with all of his worries that he could not perform his tasks. The old, wise monk said, "I have a gift for you. It was given to me by an old and wise monk when I was your age. This gift has allowed me a life of grace, peace, and focus."

Just Remember…“Guys” Buy Stuff Too
You may not have noticed it but the other half of the population likes guys ...they just don't "like" them. Even the best of us are OK to have around sometime but women are always trying to remodel us. Big difference is women have better role models and even when their role models are bad they're good! Just remember guys make decisions too - when the woman says he can, And hey we buy stuff...lots of stuff!
