Meditation as a Goal Achievement Strategy
If we can overcome the image of a yogi in a saffron robe, we have a subtle, yet powerful tool to use as a goal achievement strategy.

Meditation as a Means of Sports Improvement (Sales Improvement, Life...)
You can't think and hit the ball at the same time. --Yogi Berra

Business Growth Needs Powerful Objectives
Yogi Berra is quoted as saying “If you don’t know where you are going you will end up somewhere else”. Business objectives specify where you are going; they are your destination. They give you direction to drive your company’s growth. They provide your team with a common purpose. They focus your activities towards a future goal. All business owners set objectives. The key, however, is to ensure the objectives are powerful and will result in successful growth. All too often objectives are vague. Or they are so unrealistic that they lack credibility. Or they are missing measurable and specific results.

Increase Closing Opportunities by Watching your Customer.
"You can observe an awful lot just by watching" - Yogi Berra Usually, buying signals are given by the customer through their body language. Ignore them, and you will miss opportunities to close. Catch them and respond effectively, and see your closing ratio take off.

Smarter Than the Average Berra
We are caught in difficult situations each day, at work, at home, in various social and business environments. What to do? Keep thinking. Keep thinking creatively until you come up with some viable solutions. Do not give up. Persevere. As Yogi Berra put it, “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over.”

Successful Change and Improvement Needs Balanced Improvement Planning
As Yogi Berra would say, "It was déja vu all over again." Five years earlier I had conducted a few introductory service/quality improvement workshops for the senior management group and head office support people of a large distribution company. Performance and feedback surveys were conducted and reviewed during these and follow up workshops. The company clearly had problems with sagging morale and customer service, rising costs from inefficient processes and quality problems, and low innovation levels.
