It’s only because I had a wonderful New York socialite for a mother-in-law that I ran smack into this. She wanted so much to expose me to her side of life. And loving her the way I did, I made myself fully pliable.

New York 1 is an all-news program that is popular in New York City, and Dominic Carter is someone I have a great deal of respect for. He should have a national show, but then New York would miss out on his full time and dynamic presence here. He describes me as “a man not known for keeping his opinions to himself” and the interview spanned two consecutive nights. |

| The state of New York recently passed legislation funding the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which serves the 12-county region of New York City. The legislation includes a new payroll tax on wages and compensation paid to employees who are employed within the New York Metropolitan Commuter Transportation District (MCTD). |

| I had a great flight home from LA on Southwest Airlines on Friday. My boycott on United has been going pretty well, but Amy and I are flying on it tomorrow to New York as it seems to be the only reasonable way to get from Denver to New York. I’m pessimistic. Plus I have a nasty cold so that’ll just make it more enjoyable. |

| Remember Blogojevitch? Do you wonder if he ever got a haircut? How about Eliot Spitzer? And then there is Governor Mark Sanford. Go really far back to then President of the United States William Clinton and his shenanigans in the oval office with intern Monica. And now Tiger - that clean-cut guy who we have all watched grow up with a golf club always near at hand.
This is an important time to compare and contrast the rich and famous and ask ourselves if they are really so different from the rest of us. I think not! I think that the self serving, the narcissistic, the "because they can" crowd is getting slammed fast and hard right now because we are no longer willing to look the other way. And, since this is a human dilemma, we all have parts of them in us! |

| Former Governor Patterson gave people who are filing for bankruptcy something to celebrate. He passed a bill that
raises the limits on several state property exemptions and allows debtors to choose between New York and Federal
exemption limits. The bill may make this easier, but you always need to be careful when filing for bankruptcy. |
