Lesson #3: Give Them an Experience They Will Never Forget
| |
| “Three guys bought UFC when it was dead,” says White. “It was over. The sport was dead and no one cared.” But, if the sport was dead, how come these three guys decided to buy the UFC? Well, says White, “We didn’t buy this to make billions of dollars. We saw something in this sport and in the fighters that we thought was incredible.” |

Rod Stewart and Barry Manilow Could be Your Veteran Salespeople
| |
| Barry Manilow dominated the 70's with hits like "I Write the Songs" and "Copacabana". Rod Stewart dominated the 70's and 80's with hits like "Tonight's the Night" and "Hot Legs". But they are far more alike than that. They are both skinny 65 year-olds with coiffed blond hair and in the last few years received horrible face lifts. Oh yeah, women love them. Could they be the same guy? Were they separated at birth?
And they both behave like veteran salespeople!

| You Have the Right to...Ask for Help!
In my seminars I often tease that some women believe they were born with a tattoo that says, "I can do it all"...or "I must do it all." I then ask for someone to show me that tattoo. Although we all laugh, it's not a laughing matter. The sad fact is that 67 percent of working mothers in America come home and make dinner all by themselves. Worse yet, 72 percent of them clean up after dinner, again all by themselves.
Let's look at the younger generation. My children have known since they were small that there's no such thing as the "Kitchen Fairy." Food doesn't magically

How Progressive Companies Can Instil Work Life Balance Within Their Organisation
| |
| It just seems that companies have got the whole work life balance out of sync. For some reason you have designed it so that your career obligations (and time required at work) peak during the most important time of your young families life. Then when your children are grown up and have left the house you are then encouraged to reduce your workload and retire.Creating a healthier work life balance in the future,a fundamental shift in how you employ and assign roles and responsibilities in your organization will be required. |

A Leadership Guide To Managing The Generations
| |
| One of the most common questions I am asked by managers is “how can I manage the ‘younger’ generation?” It seems every second workplace is having challenges between different generations …with differences in expectations of managers, work approach and style.
Let me start by saying that what I am about to tell you will be discussing the generalities of generations. Before you leap in and yell “stereotypes” … listen up for a moment.

Does the Younger Generation Think We are the Idiots?
| |
| We have all had an idiot for a boss at some point in our lives. For some of us that pain is a present reality and for others it is a painful memory. And, for others the experience is yet to come. And if you ask the younger workers today, the disease is more prevalent in the workplace than we like to admit. The new worker of today's high-technology work force seems to resist being led by many of the traditional, short-term focused managers and supervisors in the workplace today. |

Turning you business into a franchise
| |
| There are very essential questions that you must ask yourself before entering into the fanchise sector. They are not quetions that you would expect your solicitor or account to ask, but they need to be asked as you are about to become intrinsicaly involved with a number of people who will trust and follow you.
Morals and ehtics are not words that are used often in business and are often concidered as 'wimpish'or of no consequence in the world of business.
In franchising they are essential. If you do not give them the attention that they deserve, you will not remain a Franchisor for long. We all know that bad news travels at twice the speed of light and good news travels on horse-back. A disatified and unhappy Franchisee will tell the world and your dreams of wealth in franchising will tumble like the walls of Jerico. |

Mary Onyali, 20 Years and Still Running Strong
| |
| Mary Onyali aka the “African Sprint Queen" is a woman you should get to know. Over two decades ago, when the social norm for a female in Nigeria was everything but being an athlete, Onyali went against the norm getting involved in the sport of track and field and continuing on to compete for Nigeria and Africa, on a national and international level. Since her entrance into the world of track and field, Onyali has opened the door for many women as well as amassed numerous medals along the way: Commonwealth Games medals, three World Cup medals, four African Games gold medals and two Olympic bronze medals, are just a few of her achievements. Onyali now embraces a new and frankly speaking daunting task, manufacturing and distributing the first ever sports apparel wear in Nigeria. |

Travel Savvy: Staying in touch for free or ET Call home
| |
| If you're not using Skype or an equivalent Internet-linked phone service for at least some of your communications, you're wasting money. But don't stop with Skype; the world is full of clever and free phone services riding on the coattails of the Internet to deliver your voice via ethernet to friends and family. |

For Kids, It’s Just Seamless Communications
| |
| Keeping pace in the industry is tough. Especially when you have to constantly go to your kids to ask for assistance. Of course now that they're teenagers they're old and often have to go next door and ask the new up-n-comers. It was bad enough when we used the DVR - which is so yesterday now that anything worthwhile is available online 24x7. But now it's assistance with our smartphone (like help me find the app we just downloaded), our tablet (ok iPad) WiFi syncing - forgive us but gawd we love the battery life, WiFi searching on the net-ready LCD screen(s), constant patches/updates for our notebook(s) and home server. Can't wait for tomorrow to see what new thing we don't know, don't really want to know but will have to learn just to stay in the game.

Are you ready for your game plan?
| |
| A 75 and 25 year old men were sitting on a bench watching a ball game. The younger one looks at the elder and with a pompous attitude, asks him the following:” I am 25, my generation built Apple air, IPods and PDA’s”. What did your generation build? The older man turns his head and with simplicity, replies:” I am 75, my generation built the Computers that helped you build the Apple Air, IPods and PDA’s”.! |
